Downloading DCU 5 to my computer?

I've casually perused the manual and can't find any information regarding downloading DCU 5 to my computer. I plan to do the firmware update first but just can't get the "how to" through my thick head. Can someone fill me in on the download proceedure?

Set the USB mode to CD-ROM (page 4 of the wrench menu). Plug in cable. Turn on camera. Your computer will act like it's mounted a USB drive, which will contain the DCU 5.9.1 installer. Run installer. (Then go get the DCU upgrade to 5.9.2 from the Ricoh website.)

I think someone in one of the firmware update threads confirmed that it does not.

Just plugged my 1.01 firmware body into my work computer, and the DCU installer has a date stamp of 14 March 2021. It's also 48.4 MB. Pretty clear signs that the firmware update doesn't contain it.

I used the cable supplied by the K3 III and had issue loading the drive. I had to use a USB-C to USB-C cable and then it got load fine on my PC.
