I ordered SD card from Pentax AU online shop , arrived yesterday.
It is SanDisk Extreme PRO SDXC UHS-ll 64GB 300 MB/s U3 C10
I wish they simplify the classifications of SD cards.
Now just waiting for K-3lll to arrive.

Just look at the V rating on the card. V30 is the slowest r/w speed, V60 is medium speed, and V90 has the fastest speeds.

No, on this one V rating is not mentioned , it has 2-YEARS RescuePRO DELUXE included.
And is getting more complicated.
I also ordered one for the slot 2.
It is SanDisk Extreme PRO SDXC UHS-l 64GB 170 MB/s U3 C10 and V30.
Also with the confession : READ up tp 170 MB/s , WRITE up to 90 MB/s

Both have :
Operating temperature : - 25C to + 85C
Lifetime Limited Warranty , except (!) in Germany , only 30 years there - poor people...

THE INDUSTRY MUST simplify the classifications of SD cards

So if anyone might suggest an SD card or two that will maximize that first slot in a new K3 iii, I'd be grateful.
I'd like to recomend a look in these two threads:
Uhs ii - PentaxForums.com
K-3 III - Recommend SD Cards? - PentaxForums.com

Now it gets even more confusing.
In your second link , Adam recommends to use the same SD card in both 1 & 2 slots.
He recommends ( what I purchased from Pentax Australia )
SanDisk Extreme PRO SDXC UHS-ll 64GB 300 MB/s U3 C10
Ok , that make sense but it is impossible , as far as I know.
Still waiting for my K-3lll so can not confirm.
The UHS-ll CDXC has two rows of contacts and only slot 1 is compatible with it , correct ?

You can put UHS-II cards in both slots, but slot 2 will fall back to UHS-I speeds because it can’t make use of the second row of contacts.

I thought I tried to look. Apparently I'm not great at looking. Maybe roll this thread up into one of those?

Well, I for one will apologize for making it sound more simple that it actually might be.

In general, fast UHS-II cards will have a V-rating, and the ones I'd suggest purchasing are V90.

BUT you are 100% correct. The cards you bought are exactly what you would want, even if there is no mention of the V rating in either the literature or labeling. I agree the industry needs to standardize the label for simplicity.

I'll assume Sandisk would prefer cards are not easily compared for their competitive advantage since V30/V60/V90 is now common for other brands. I can't think of any other reason not to tag your cards as V90 since all the specifications seem to apply.

A friend of mine reported an unusually slow write speed for the Sandisk 170mb/sec UHS-I card; on slot 2 he says his UHS-II card (a Kingston Canvas React Plus) is much faster.

I’d run UHS II in both slots with a UHS I in my grip as a backup. This way if your slot one card fails you can rotate the other UHS II card into slot one and the back up card into slot 2…

On a similar tack I was thinking using the same cards in both slots so that if/when you fill up the card in slot 1
you can just swap the cards around and still get the benefit of the faster slot 1. (you might need to flick the
lock switch on the full card if you're taking a lot if images or just get bigger cards )

That’s where the sd card carrier slot in the battery grip comes in handy. If you move the filled card there, you don’t have to worry about overwriting or attempting to overwrite that card.
