Selling out is not a surprise since I got an email from Ricoh Imaging UK last week advising that stocks were low and to buy now (then?).

I guessed correctly the Silver premium kit would sell out first

since the matching Silver grip was only available through the premium kit

and wasn't sure I would be lucky enough to get one

it is the most distinctive as the premium kit " on the street " for the few out there in the know about Pentax

[ I expect that folks will be able to purchase the black battery grip without having to purchase the black premium kit ]

I have put the leather strap away in the box since I don't use that type but an over the shoulder and neck sling

now I worry about protecting that silver finish
