I've been very pleased with my K-3 III. My go to lens is the Pentax DA* 60-250mm mounted on the Pentax HD 1.4X teleconverter. Once I figured out the autofocus settings that fit my style it's been amazing. Here are some of my shots from last weekend's Wheeling Vintage Raceboat Regatta on the Ohio River in Wheeling, WV. These are all crops.

I was about to create a new post about some more racing series, but not using a K3-III this time.

Nothing wrong with the original K-3. I shot one for years. It's a great body but I will say the K-3 III is way beyond it in AF performance once you get it figured out.

It is indeed but I just borrowed the K3-III for a couple races last year and I have to keep shooting now with my regular setup 😬
