What's high compression? I have RawTherapee exports set up for 95% jpeg quality and whatever "best quality subsampling" means.
Well the image is full of jpeg artifacts and the exif says jpeg quality 85.

Don't know why it says 85. Also, remember, this is a 200% enlargement to show maximum effect of pixel shift. The vast majority of viewing cases aren't going to be a tiny crop of the frame, and any artifacts will be far less visible.

The forum resamples your image. If you want control over compression etc you need to upload I elsewhere and embed.

Here's a couple more at 200%. This time at ISO 100. If you can tell the difference you have a more discerning eye than I do. I think it's clear that there's an impact on high ISO noise, but if you're already on a tripod why aren't you shooting near base ISO?
I can definitely discern a difference, cleaner and more defined on the PixelShift image. Look at the edges of the lint on the blue cover for instance, and the better thread contrast on the lower section of the blue cover.
