I know Cactus is now defunct but...
Sort of a consolation good news. I had problems using them on my K-5IIs, you can read it here
Pentax X-TTL - can't get manual flash to work ? Cactus Community

Tested them with the K-3III today. Manual flash still doesn't work but TTL flash comp now works as intended. Even remote 1/8000sec HSS works.

I was so close to selling off the pair of V6II dirt cheap but was too lazy to do so. Now it seems the K-3III has given them a second chance.

good deal ! they are quite useful triggers.......the biggest and main issue i have with the v6ii is seating it on the hot shoe for proper communication regardless of the body used

it's been a good minute and ferget the remote issues i had as the remedy is fer me to use 2 v6 as remotes which i already had

recently cleaned the hot shoe on my bodies and wha~la instant communication! it took mounting a af360fgz on the hot shoe that would not communicate with the body to then provide good hygiene.......rather careless on my part
