K3III video AF

I assume AF in video is only available with PLM lens? It says in the manual that only compatible lens provide AF. With regular lenses, the AF is greyed out in the menu.

Seeing that there is only the 55-300 PLM, it is crazy that we have to wait for the new 16-50 PLM before we get that function.

I know lens motor noise is a factor, but what if I do not need audio? Or I have an external mike?

Yes, right now AF-C only works with PLM 55-300. It doesn't work with my D-FA 50/1.4.

AF-S where you can use touch screen or joystick to focus works with all AF lenses, that I have tested.

I think (hope) that we will have massive upgrade to video part quite soon. (i.e. as European I'm missing 25/50p).

That is a big bummer to pay so much for a DFA 50 f1.4 and not be able to use it to AFC in video!
