Just back from two weeks of intensive K-3 III use travelling through Sicily. I must say, deleting images on the K-3 III is much easier than using the old interface. Key in this is using the touch screen after pressing the physical delete button. That saves scrolling through the options and skips clicks. If you want to navigate the new menus the old way (using the physical buttons only) it is harder, but training yourself to use the touch interface reveals why the new interface is designed the way it is, and why it really is an improvement IMHO.

BTW, in grid view, using the Ev compensation button in combination with the touch screen makes deleting series of images super quick as well (similar to the Shift key on a PC keyboard). Saved me a lot of time (and my wife a lot of patience) when I wanted to remove a 5 shot bracketed series or a panorama sequence where I missed one setting or another and needed to redo.
thank you for this tip.

I agree with the concern about deleting the contents of the card instead of a single image. The delete image vs card option surprised me when i got the K-3 iii since it breaks from the pattern of the K-1 and my old K-5. I don't often delete images, in fact, I never wipe cards as I prefer to keep them as back-ups. Unless memory cards start getting dramatically more expensive instead of declining in price I'll keep doing that.

As always, interesting to hear how others address the circumstance.

I'll ask this here since is sort of on the same topic... when you delete one image it only deletes the raw and not the jpg (unless I'm mistaken). is there a way to switch to the other card while reviewing and delete jpg also?

Nevermind ..it's under menu while reviewing

What I found is to review the image immediately while it's still being initially displayed after capture. When you delete the image, it will delete from both cards at once.

Same here, review it when shot which has several advantages. Otherwise deletion is only done when reviewing shots on my computer for processing.

Interesting. I may need to make the timeout on the instant review longer, with the default I don't think I'd catch it in time.
