K3iii in Canada?

Debating getting one sooner than later, looks like every store has it listed for $2500 at the moment? Anyone know of deals to be had in Canada? Should I expect a big delay in shipping, anyone have one in stock?

It arrived in expeditated fashion.
I don't see a substantial sale in the near future
but I must say, this camera is quite a beast and it's still quite in the 'early adopter' phase.
New firmware is being released with substantial features, and I bet more are coming!
I think it's well worth it - the 'best' Pentax camera yet!

Camera Canada has stock as well as Amazon last time I checked which was on Friday.

Hi, I bought mine on the camera store, they had it in stock. All the shop around me don't have much Pentax gear now and last time I asked if they would have the k3iii it seemed that I should not count on it.

I just ordered one from the Camera Store, w/ the extended warranty. (I know they're not often worth it, but peace of mind for such an expensive body.) Excited!

At McBain camera they offer a sensor cleaning and 1 lens focus adjustment per year of the extended warranty.
So even if I don't use the warranty to repair/replace I still get some use with the sensor cleaning etc.
Pretty nice service.
I also got the extended warranty for my K-70. With the potential aperture block on this unit it seemed to make good sense

I'd have preferred that too.

I'm having a miserable time at work, (two mergers and now everything is horrible) and came across some money, so figured it's a good time to upgrade.

Everyone of my cameras was bought during some kind of windfall. Maybe that's what I'm really waiting for. Maybe the $2000 thing is just an excuse. But, I can usually spring $2000 from my tax return, so it is a good number for me.

In Canada any price other than the MSRP (Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price) for Pentax gear is very rare, and occurs after the camera has been discontinued and the replacement model has been released. Exception may include small discounts at Amazon a couple of years after the product release. I would like to be proven wrong, but that's my experience.

I'm in Ottawa, it's coming from Alberta. Will be about a week to get here. It would have come way faster via amazon, but it felt impossibly wrong to not support a Canadian camera shop with such a big purchase.

Should be here next Friday.
