Hi all,

is there any K3iii user that is commonly using a wifi connection to download files (images) from the SD card using WiFi? How do you do it?

I tryed with WiFi Commander for pentax but it does not progress , it seem something is blocking although the circle icon keeps turning . The PC Wifi is OK

It seems WiFiCommander will need updating to perform reliably with the K-3iii. I've had it working "sort of" with one machine, but with the other machine it just wouldn't respond. The first machine running W10 32-bit, the second 64-bit.

The apps made with the SDK APIs don't work either (such as the Pentax Forums app) so you'll likely need to wait for an update.

For the WiFi Commander, you might check with the developer. They are good to respond and try to keep the program working and up to date, and are interested in any issues. Their e-mail is: info@wificommanderpentax.com

If WiFi Commander comes through, don't forget to consider a donation. I'm not connected with them, but I know this is one way we keep the development of this type of software going. I can only assume it takes considerable programming skills and time to create tools like these.

Image Transmitter2 needs a software update and a firmware update to v1.2 (now at v1.21) so maybe all you need to do is update to v1.21.

Hi all. I am currently testing a beta version of WiFiCommander software. Up to now seem it is possible to download images and work with the camera (shooting and other stuff) using the wifi . I am basically helping the developer (very very kind !!) to test the release but I'm positive soon we'll sort it out.

That will be well worth waiting for. It seems strange that there is no way of simply connecting so it is a 'device' in Windows.

Tomorrow I'll download and test another Beta release with improvement in magnification (zoom) and connection that is giving some problems. I'll keep you posted, many issues has been solved anyway.
