Well, everything is back to normal, at least for now. Camera got a freeze during shooting, I had to remove battery to get it work again and after this everything returned to normal. I love software issues

"LV exposure compensation" may well be non-existant, but it's LV exposure simulation we're looking at! … on p35 and p51 of the K-3iii manual!

Argh! I hate when that happens. I'm glad it works again but dang. That makes it hard to know when / if it will come up again.

Also to anyone who thought this was due to Live View Simulation - the point isn't that it looks wrong on the back of the camera while taking the image - the image exposure was different depending on if this was set to Liveview or OVF. That's not that surprising when the differences are small - since the two use different metering input. I have personally seen differences between LV and OVF in the past but they were small inconsequential differences not the differences described here.
