Still waiting for my K3III to get fixed and getting impatient now. The status is “waiting for parts on order from manufacturer” WTF!

Yup, that's the way it is in these interesting "supply chain issues" times we live in.
When my K-1ii got bumped and needed the top cover replaced, it had to go to Japan to do it and that took almost 4 months before I had it back in my hands. It sucks, but what can you do.

I think in your situation the camera should have been replaced not repaired. Amazon get a lot of criticism but I think they would have replaced it.

Finally after nearly 12 weeks I have a functional K3 Mk III. Now to get reacquainted with it again.

Excellent, hopefully in time it will erase those bad initial memories.

Even back in the days of film cameras that was not a unusually long turnaround time for a repair. My Mamiya/Sekor 500 DTL meter failed. It was gone for months and ll that had to be done was a wire resoldered to it's connection. The second time it failed I fixed it myself. The third time I got a Pentax Spotmatic II.

I am glad your camera is back. I hope it gives you many years of faultless operation from here on out.
