Late Halloween Photo Story à la "The Fly", starring Great & Middle Spotted Woodpecker

I shot the Middle Spotted Woodpecker one morning this week, and the Great Spotted Woodpecker an hour later. Only realised later that they were sitting at the exact same spot when preening their plumage, going through some very similar poses throughout. Thought it would be funny to arrange them in this order. Let me know what you think

Wonderful sequence - well done. Don't get Middle-Spotted in the UK (officially !), unfortunately.

Great series. It is very interesting to see these birds choose the same spot for preening. I can imagine it was a surprise to you also. Wonderful catch of the action and very nice captures.

Thank you all. I think I'll edit those to be pseudo-mirrored with the large one on one and the middle one on the other side and have the results printed.

I had made a calendar of my pictures last year which is hanging in the stairwell and I really like looking at those every day. I think one or two of those might fit into next year's calendar really well.
