An old flash can't shoot past the sync speed, and its Auto function can't function within a softbox or similar.
Something like the Godox 350 is small, P-TTL *and* HSS.
Good modern flashes can be cheap compared to the cost of our cameras.
And since many photographers buy a flash but never learn how to use them properly, 'as new' ones can be sourced quite cheaply. Their loss is our gain.
There's no need to put a 1970s flash on a K-3 III.
