Using HD Pentax-D FA* 85mm F1.4 SDM AW with a Pentax K3 III Camera Body

I am feeling extremely disillusioned right now. After receiving Smolk's advice, I contacted the Camera Store in Calgary. They told me that my two weeks were up, and I would have to go through Ricoh. I thought that Ricoh would do a simple exchange, but instead I had to mail the lens to Sun Camera Service in Concord, Ontario. So I sent the lens to them on February 14th. It is now April 20th. I have contacted Sun Camera by telephone on two occasions, the most recent being this week. Each time I am told that the lens is sitting on the Ricoh technician's bench with a video of the lens for comparison (they don't have a real lens), but that the Ricoh technician rarely comes in to work. I am hoping someone here can advise me. The lens began making motor noises after less than 100 pictures. It was barely a month old.

Only fellow photographers can understand how sad I feel.

Sun Camera is an authorized Pentax/Ricoh repair facility. I'd be leaning on Pentax more to get something done sooner. Call them daily if you have to - it's an expensive lens to have sitting in a repair shop waiting for a tech who doesn't show up for work. Plus any warranty you do have on it is ticking down, so I'd press for an extension by any amount of time the lens is sitting at Sun Camera.

You should tried DA55mm again with K3 III. It supposed to be a Sonnar type design.
