That's a horrible picture too, quality wise. Stupid smart phones. I have a better pic with a different camera I'll upload

Edit: Okay changed the picture out. That's much better.

I agree. I have a silver one and black one with battery grip. I’d love to post a picture but they are at home and I’m in rehab with a fractured kneecap.

I hope you're feeling better soon! I've heard that's a difficult injury. Congrats on the two 3-iii's. They must look great together.

Jealousy or envy inducing posts should not be allowed. Such good looking camera kit, I prefer to look away, it's safer for my bank account.

I don't care much for the exterior appereance of my K3 III. All I care for are the results I obtain from it ...

Some funny replies here- all in good fun, I love it. Just know that I traded in some serious kit so I could have two Mark III's. These will now be my main workhorse cameras for much of my photo work, which uses to be shared by Canon and Nikon (and even some Fujifilm) gear. I still have some left of each but my "big stuff" was traded in. Stuff like the Canon 5D Mark IV, Fujifilm 50s, D4, stuff like that.

The point really here is that this is the first Pentax camera that I know can handle pro level work in nearly every single category- the action category is so huge. There are so many reasons and situations to have fast reliable focus tracking and fast frame rates, both professionally and as a hobbyist. While all that may have been mainstay in other brands for so long, it hasn't been for Pentax and they have missed out on those very important markets for a long time. I wondered if I'd ever get my dream Pentax, and when it happened I really didn't believe it at first or let its impact fully sink in.

Well it's sunk in. I'm fully in on a serious Pentax kit for all of my pro and casual work now where I only really used to use them for the latter. They will be used, they won't be sitting around gathering dust or looking purty on a shelf, trust me when I say that .

Now all I need is the silver and black one !

Well, admittedly a substitute satisfaction, which hasn't taken away my gear lust for the K-3 III, a camera I've wanted since the mock-up was shown. But it did give me considerable joy to be able to complete my full set of green-ringed DA Limited lenses last year.

Picking up nice lenses, upgrading my PC (it was high time to upgrade mine for work anyway) and editing software, and making time for actual photo walks to enjoy what I have are things that have made the long wait for the K-3 III quite bearable, I'm finding.

Of course, that feeling won't last forever ...

I disagree. Two K3 III are better than one K3 III, but not the best.
The best is to have a K3 III black, a K3 III jet black and a K3 III silver (with matching battery grips and lenses)

I’m afraid it won’t stop there! In 2023 there will be a J-Limited 03 model of the K-3, which is restyled to look like a big K-30 and available in White and Blue and maybe black. Not sure when it will be released, but the prototype was shown at an event in December 27.

It will probably be an expensive and tricky import from Japan when it comes, though.

And don't forget the k3-3 with B/W only sensor that they said comes after the j-black version.
