Hello dear Pentaxians.

I am looking for a memory card for K-3 III. Should I go for 128GB or 256GB for faster K3 slot

1. Kingston Canvas React Plus 128GB SDXC Memory Card UHS-II 300R/260W U3 V90 for Full HD/4K/8K - SDR2/128GB

3. What would you recommend me for 2nd memory slot?

I want to add that I use with K-70 SanDisk Extreme PRO 128GB SDXC Memory Card up to 95MB/s, Class 10, U3, V30 with SanDisk SD UHS-I Card

Thanks for help

It depends what you are shooting! If you use high frame rates the faster the buffer clears the better. On my K-3 III I am using Sandisk pro UHSII 300Mb 64Mb in slot 1 and in slot 2 a 32Mb Sandisk Pro UHS1 95Mb to my entire satisfaction.
In most of the cases I use 1 card slot with raw DNG. And for my style of photography events, landscape, slower paced stuff I am perfectly fine with UHS-1 cards. If you spray and pray that's another question.

I might shoot some of 4k videos on race track as well.

For photos only any of the quality V30 rated will do. That's true even for 4K video as far as I know, but maybe they can take advantage of the faster V60's. The ones I've settled on with probably a dozen of 'em are Lexar 1667x V60's in 32 and 64GB and only because the price and quality is so reasonable, not because the camera needs those speeds for my photography.

Early on I was going with those Canvas React and Sony Tough V90's, I have two of each, but in all honesty those are overkill just as they are for most current cameras, mirrorless or otherwise. Other than two 128GB cards everything I use is 32 and 64GB. You're not likely to fill up even the 32GB in a full-day of photography.

I would mention tho that the buffer does seem to clear a tiny bit faster with the Sony Tough's, but not nearly enough to warrant the cost. On top of that I rarely have filled the buffer anyway with BiF or other fast action.

I ordered kingston 128gb as I need something for the next week I also took 128gb sandisk pro extreme up to 200mb/s v30 for second one. It might happened that I will do multiday shooting in near future without having laptop with me. Thanks for advices guys. Thread can be closed.

When I got my K3iii I bought the Prograde Digital 64GB SDXC UHS-II U3 Class 10 V60 Memory Card, 250MB/s Read, 130MB/s Write, 2-Pack. Recently I purchased the Lexar 128GB Professional 1667x UHS-II SDXC Memory Card (2-Pack). I paid about the same for each set...under $70 and they work fine.

I bought 2 SanDisk Extreme PRO UHS-II cards for my K-3 III. I can get 3000+ RAW shots on one card. Race Weekends it's not unusual to shoot 6000+ shots a day. I do a lot of continuous shooting in medium mode. Hydroplanes don't like to stop and pose for you!

When the card in slot one is full, and the camera switches to slot 2 I'll move the card in slot 2 to slot 1 and leave slot 2 empty so it stores to slot 1 again during a break in the action. This allows me to take advantage of the faster write speed in slot one. My new laptop also has a UHS-II SD slot so by having the 2 UHS-II cards I get faster uploads to my laptop each evening. B&H currently has the SanDisk 128GB UHS-II cards for $139.00.

Do you keep the 2nd SD card inside camera or stored in a bag or something ?

I have my camera set to rollover to the next card when the current card is full so I keep it in the 2nd slot so there is no break in shooting when the card in slot 1 is full. When there is a break in the action, I move the card in slot 2 to slot 1 and leave slot 2 blank so the camera will go back to using slot 1. Once the camera stores at least 1 pic to the card in slot 1 I'll put another empty card in slot 2 in case I need it.
