Hello! I just treated myself with the K3-III. I wanted it, but had a hard time justifying the pricetag for it. Well, after a year or so thinking about it, I finally bought one.

But little did I know it was somewhat of a rare occurence: it's the silver premium kit, with the leather strap and the silver battery grip. Only 1.000 units were sold worldwide according to Pentax. It was just there, sitting in my local photo store since day 1... waiting for me probably.

I just wanted to share that story! It's a beautiful object.

I have abused my original K3 silver for like a decade now.
You'll be glad to hear the silver keeps really well.. and I like it especially with m lenses as these have a silver line on the front..

Your silver K-3iii looks drill.
I bought the K-3 Prestige Edition that came with a black Faux leather strap, the battery grip and a beautiful gunmetal paint job.
I still have it all these years later. There were only 2000 released and I understand only 100 came to the UK.
It is a fine camera and the results are very satisfying. Good luck with yours.

I had the same kind of reflexion at first, when the K3Mk3 launched, i.e. should I get a K3 Mk3 or not... (the Silver ones were not really in my loop at first)

So later on, when I was doing some "window shopping" on the web, I started drolling when I saw that there was still some Silver and Silver premium Kits available in Canada... I always thought that the Siver ones were pretty sexy, and would fit greatly with the FA* lenses I had (see pic below).
However, I can't remember exactly, but at some point I saw that the listing for the Silver ones were sold out, and I said to myself... "too bad, I will then wait for good deal on a regular black one"

But not very long later, in around June 2021m I inquired the online seller, and he told me he still had one available... and mentionned "this is the LAST ONE in CANADA"... It was a return, so he offered me a 10% discount !!!
So I went pretty defensless against that GAS afflicting my mind and I jumped over the fence and ordered it, even though there was a couple things that was bugging me about that body (eg. no tilt screen and no internal GPS)

I do not regret my aquisition, and every time I use it now, I am still attracted by the charm of the Siver K-3 Mark III...

These days it is hard to find a camera store, let alone one that carries Pentax gear! Have fun with you new friend.
I still enjoy just looking at my silver K-1 Mark II!

I also have a Silver K3 II, they also had the K3-II Black but it was $90 US more.
so I got the Sliver. It was part of the Group when this Model was discontinued.
But the Battery grip I got was the Black grip as it was cheaper!
