Crumpler Pouch

Hi all,

Came across this new pouch from Crumpler:
New Crumpler Pouch Digital - SLR Camera Case Espresso - eBay (item 280498003609 end time May-25-10 02:18:10 PDT)

Looks like a good way to put on the camera and throw it in any bag - thereby avoid the use of camera bag. But there is no info of this pouch in their website...

Have anyone try this?

Lee

I actually saw it last night (on ebay too) when I was looking for a different crumpler bag. Never used one, but it caught my eye to as it looks interesting (although perhaps a little expensive for what it is).

Just wondering where to put the pouch after removed from the camera for shooting. Do I need a third hand?

I guess you'd roll it up and stuff it in your back pocket.

According to the description in the ebay listing, there is a hook that attaches to the camera strap. Can't find a picture anywhere that show the connection. It sounds awkward.

To me it looks cumbersome more than convenient. If you want a solution that fits in amy bag, get a proper insert that will accomodate a camera, lenses, and accessories.

I have a similar product, a Zing neoprene cover.

I find it works pretty well and is my most frequently used bag/case. I can put my camera (K-x, but I used to also have a Oly e-510) in this and toss it into my ski or bike pack without much worry.
