Maybe a dumb question, but will this case fit the DA15, DA21, DA40 & DA70?

With front & rear caps on the largest "limited" combination that i can fit is:

35 macro = 65 long
43 with hood = 60 long
70 with hood = 60 long

Total length = 185mm not including the 4 padded dividers

M 50 / 1.7 @ f2

The 15 is slightly shorter = 57 long
also i carry a 49mm pinch front cap as alternative for the DA15
the cap is a little bit tight on the end is 6mm thick

15,35,70+cap = 188mm long

FA43 / 1.9 @f2

I dont have the 21 or 40 but they both alot smaller than the DA35macro
DA21 ~ 39mm without hood or about 46 ? with hood
DA40 ~ 29mm without hood of about 38 ? with hood

DA70 is 41mm without hood and the huge hood adds 19mm.

So to (eventually) answer your question, I think 15, 21, 40, 70 would just fit if you removed the DA70 hood and put on a slim 49mm pinch cap.

After playing with the case, I think it's useful when you have 4 DA limited lenses, this case is too much for only the 3 pancakes. The 70 is getting delivered today, guess I'll have to buy the 15 to fill it up

I don't have the case.

The specs says it's 9.25 inches long (outside). I guess the inside length is probably about 8.5 inches. I think it can hold 4 ltd. lenses if you do it this way:

Can some owner measure the inner length and give a thickness of the inner divider? Please.
Many thanks

It curved to a sort of psuedo-hemispherical shape on the ends.
The internal length at the base surface pad is 200mm. This pretty much determines the limit for the "cylindrical" lenses laying in the side.
At the zipper the internal length is about 218mm but the shape curves up

Each divider is 6-7mm thick with lenses touching but not really pressing into them. The dividers have a plastic spine I guess about 2mm thick and a thin foam padding about 3mm thick on either side.

I can fit 185mm of lenses and all 4 dividers comfortably with no tension on the zip.
The way SOldBear pictures them with double caps and then just using 1 divider would probably fit OK. Note that he has a different DA70 hood to mine which looks a bit shorter and "DA40 style".
Using single rear caps and 3 padded dividers would be a few mm tighter.

If you arranged them with with the DA40 and DA21 with their "conical" hoods pointing outwards you can get a few mm into the rounded ends so you can use more of the 218mm internal maximum dimension.

If you use no hood at all, just a 49mm cap on the 70 and 21, without padding, I think it will fit. I have 2.5-3 inches left.
I am guessing that the rear caps of the 70-15 and 40-21 are glued together, so you would like padding between your groups. Padding is 6mm so you will have enough space because your 15mm looks to be less than 2.5 inches.

Wow, thanks guys, so many helpful replies and pictures

I think I'll go ahead and buy the case, and if it fits all 4 great, otherwise it's no disaster, I'll just have to sell my DA21 & DA40 for a DA35 so I can fit them all in

For those of you who have the case, I'm curious as to how you use it.

I have it and I just use it to store the DA Ltds which aren't in my camera bag. With the way it opens, I wouldn't want to open it without setting it down on a table first for fear that a lens would tumble out. I don't find it useful for going out and about with my lenses, a traditional camera bag is far better suited for that but it does make a really good home for the poor lenses that get left behind.

Yes those four lenses do. I have my lenses put together with the double end caps just like in the photo by SOldBear and with one divider in the middle, all four of those lenses do fit in the case. Change any one of them for the DA 35/2.8 Ltd though and you can only fit 3 of them in the case.

quick measuring of three FA ltds stacked gives just under 21cm (around 208mm) would this fit with 43 pointing outwards, rear cap to rear cap to 31, divider, and then 77 with front cap to divider and rear cap outwards?
