Gitzo 3531 Tripod

Good Evening All,

I am seriously considering the purchase of a Gitzo 3531 Tripod.
Has anyone had problems with breakages of the carbon fibre legs?

Regards,
Gordon.

I have the Gitzo 2541, which has lighter legs and four sections per leg. Not even a hint of a problem. But I haven't fought any cougars with it, and the largest lens I use with it is a DA 55-300. (I have crashed on a Mt Bike with the 2541 strapped on a pack on my back; broke a rib; tripod was unfazed.)

Wonderful tripod. I use it without the center column to save a little more weight -- you can still hang your backpack on the bottom for extra stability.
