Sourcing a Cokin Z Holder

Hey,

I'm looking to purchase a Cokin Z Holder system. Everyone in Vancouver is sold out and can't tell me when they are coming in.

Has anyone got any ideas where I might get one from?

I'm travelling to Japan on the 4th with a couple of days in Tokyo to start, so that is one option.

Does anyone know a store in Tokyo that would stock one of these?

Thanks

Andrew

Why do you need the Z system? Are you shooting medium format?

I shoot mainly Architecture and Landscapes.
On the odd occasion I shoot at extreme wide angles with the Sigma 10-20 I will not get any Vignetting with the Z system where I'm told I will with the P system.

At 10, I think you're still going to get some, but you're right--the Z is way to go.

HELP - 100mm Filter holder needed quickly

NO ONE HAS THE Z FILTER HOLDER.

Not a single shop in Vancouver, Not, B&H, not Adorama, not Vistek.

What is going on? Have Cokin stopped manufacturing this product.

I'm in real trouble - I'm leaving for Japan on Thursday morning and I need a holder.

Suggestions please................................

Ha. I think I found something, that perhaps you can find: I was sure someone else made something compatible: 'Lee FK' would seem to be the brand and model.

Described here: Cokin Z Pro vs Lee FK holder

Where to find *those,* I don't really know, but you could look around.

Also, maybe you can find some ahead of time in Japan, they have mad photo store coolnesses.

Almost impossible to get one today, but give 2filter.com a call - they might be able to FedEx it to you (for a steep price). Reality is that Z-size holders are even rarer than square filter holders in general, which is saying "special order."

Well, magiclady, you have already pointed him to a place that has *both* the Cokin and Lee filter holders described, and at good prices. (its 2filter if you can't scroll to the bottom to catch the backlink)

Point is, these are not "last minute" items to find... but I'm sure you can find somewhere in Japan that has them - more landscape and MF photographers in general over there.

Thanks for the links people.

I've actually been looking for the Cokin filter for the past month and each local shop I've spoken to has told me that they'd be in by the end of October.....It's not a last minute search by any means.

I'll try 2filter.com, but I think Japan might be my best bet.

Cheers

Kenko Filter Holder

I'm heading directly to Yokohama.
I've found a what looks to be a good camera shop to go to called Yodobashi.

They stock, Lee, Cokin and some I've never heard of Kenko....

Has anyone any experience with these?

Hrm, can't really give personal experience, but I'd try them on your widest lens in person, and see what you can get, by way of avoiding vignetting: that round holder I see on your link might well be made for that purpose. And otherwise, for what you might just like better. If you're buying retail, you may as well take advantage of that.
