Salve,

Sto cercando un nuovo treppiede in carbonio da accopiare a una testa cullmann 40200 in particolare per scatti macro.

Quale delle due case offrono la migliore qualità? Purtroppo un Gitzo non è nelle mie possibilità e credo che Benro e Giottos siano migliori rispetto a Manfrotto.

I have a Benro aluminum travel tripod (the one that supports 8kg, I think). The quality seems fine to me (especially for the price). It is very sturdy and has a clever folding scheme allowing it to fit inside a backpack. This is nice when you are traveling and don't want everybody around you to know you have a fancy camera.

I believe I saw a Gitzo in the store once. I thought its build quality was better, but it is also more expensive.

I believe Benro used to have some quality control problems, and their first 1-2 generations of products offered from B&H had a very bad reputation.

However - I have a Benro C-158n6 (2nd or 3rd generation, e.g. one generation after the last "bad" one) and I am VERY happy with it.

Edit: I am 90% certain that Benro, Induro, Adorama Flashpoint, and Amvona/Dynatran CF tripods all come from the exact same factory, it's just a difference in terms of the level of quality control applied, from what I've seen so far:
Induro/Flashpoint - Upper level quality control
Benro - Slightly below Induro/Flashpoint but still very good
Amvona/Dynatran - Rejects that didn't meet the standards of the above three. Occasionally good, but more often duds.
