CHEAP Camera Armor for K20D/K10D

If anyone is interested, I picked up Camera Armor by Made products off Amazon for the K20D/K10D for USD 9.95 and it fits pretty well. It came from Cameta Camera and delivered within a week to the west coast. I think it's being discontinued so get it while you can.

I put it on with very little difficulty and but I think it may take a bit to get used to. It's somewhat harder to push down the buttons/switches but they work with the first press. I kind of think that it's like new shoes. It'll take some time to break in.

I've got it. The "shade" is rather worthless, but the rest works fine. It aint pretty, but it does the job.

I dunno, I'm kind of tempted. With a lens shade like that you could dress all Mad Max and pretend to be from the 80's post-apocalyptic future.

If I can find it I can send the gigantic rubber lens shade to you. It certainly have a Mad Max feeling to it.

But I have never managed to fit it to any lens or outside any other lens shade. But the rest of the rubber armour works fine. Have it on my K20D. Which is good since it is being used by my post docs and Ph.D. students...makes me vorry less about them dropping it.

Armor

I"ve eyed these ere since my first 10D. Thanks for the tip...ordered one for my 20D yesterday. My cameras take a fair amount of abuse from use in the shop, on job sites, and in canoes and kayaks. Should help with the banging around. Does anyone know if it will work with the grip attached?

Yes, the bottom is open and it goes on from the top down.

I bought one for my son's K20 a month ago. It fits very well. I recommend one. Too bad it's not available for a K7 or Kx.
