Miller tripod and junior fluid head

So I got a vintage miller tripod and junior fluid head.

I was wondering if anyone knows a new tripod where the head might fit.
I really like it due to its flexibility , the level head which is easily adjusted isnt beaten by any cheap new head.

The wooden tripod is very sturdy and I like it for studio work, but I'd love to have a bit lighter carry round tripod with the same head.

Any ideas?

Any suggestion for a good tripod that might work?

The head has a level plate, so that's why I was wondering.

I'd get carbon fibre job from the manfrotto 055 series if looking for something light and sturdy (e.g. Manfrotto 055 carbon fibre Q90 3-section tripod - 055 Series).

That really looks like a beautiful set of legs, though.

*thinking* Oh, what was that brand.... (minutes later) Feisol.

They make a pretty stout set of legs, columnless but with a pretty wide base for the head, the legs flip up over the head for storage and carry: Here's I think one of the nicer ones, but these guys might be a good way to go for that.

I have the identical model.

Verry sturdyfor heavy lenses but the original legs are a work of art. The Miller tripod company may have a choice of legs for you.

Miller are still alive and well manufacturing tripods in Australia. Enjoy.
