Gareth i was in the same position a few months ago. I have been using a kata dr 467 for about a year and when i aquired the simga 50-150, the 467 was too small. i can carry the lens but not when attached to my small K-x. I also have a lowepro slingshot aw100 which is way too small. i can carry the 50-150 attached to the body if i remove all the dividers and store the camera and lens vertically. the solution i came to was the vanguard uprise 48. the bag is much bigger than the kata dr 467 but can easily store 2 bodies, 3-4 lens including the simga 50-150 and even up to a 70-200. it has a side access panel like the lowepro sling and backpacks and also has a tripod compartment. the one thing i dont like about the bag is it has very few storage pouches. nothing to hold memory cards or batteries etc. i use a small memory card case mate case that holds some cards, thumb drive, and extra batteries. |
