I just checked his page.. and no news of yet. But he has picked up a Samsung Nexus and is looking to learn some android programming etc to be able to I think.. Hell my Galaxy Note is just itching! But this also may help me in deciding which Canikon FF to upgrade to.

From what I gather the chap works full time and PK-Tether is a hobby of sorts (maybe Ricoh/Pentax should headhunt him, they must be aware that tethering is something we want... with a team behind someone as proactive as him... Win Win!!)... That said he's probably already started the process of an Android version... I would keep your eyes peeled...

As great as PK tether would be on my Galaxy Note, I won't hold my breath on it being ready anytime soon. full time work schedule, life in general.. this being a side project, it's when he can get/find time. Although.. if he went full out on it worked out bugs etc etc.. he could probably sell it to Pentax/Ricoh since they're too F'nlazy to make a program themselves... could be setting himself up for a full time gig being tech support/upgrading the program etc etc.. If only I had the knowledge I think that's the route I would take.. Maybe he has pitched it to Pentax and they aren't interested though.. who knows..

Has anyone spotted this OnOne Software DSLR Remote comment before now? How about a concerted effort to leave as many comments as possible and see where it leads?

What about support for Nikon, Olympus, Pentax and Sony cameras?
While version 1.0 of the DSLR Remote app only supports select Canon EOS DSLR cameras, a Nikon version is not out of the question. I talked to a friend of mine at Nikon today and he's provided us with the necessary SDK (software development kit) to allow us to support Nikon cameras. Which ones, I don't know yet as I haven't had a chance to talk to our developers about that. They're busy on another project, but projects do get moved around sometimes.
Rest assured Nikon shooters, we know you're interested and are taking the feedback very seriously. As for Olympus,[HL]PENTAX[/HL] and Sony, it would be good to hear from more of you so if you fall into one of those camps and want this app to support those cameras, please spread the word and have them leave a comment.
