nd filter, how many stops?

hi all

i want to get some nd filters, but i'm not sure which ones to get
i was thinking 3 stops, but then i thought it might be too much, and perhaps 2 stops would be better

i think i'll be more likely to be using them in the f/11 range, either for long exposures, or under harsh light

if it makes any difference, the lenses i'll be using them on are
da16-45
dfa100 macro
fa50
sa50-200

thanks for any advice
dave

Rw: ND Filters

Perhaps 1 AND 2 stop filters, combining them gives 3 stops?
