Well, with a 1/2.3 sensor, an adapter for the 110 system lenses would make more sense.

Not for me, I sold my 110 system many years ago.

No K-Mount Glass will be able to deliver enough detail to a 12 megapixel crop 5.6 sensor. This sensor is as densely packed as a 46 MP APS-C!

I think some of the high end glass might. I'm certainly willing to give it a try

Also, if they included a corrective element, a Wide Angle Converter if you will, it could increase the optical resolution while decreasing the focal length and widening the aperture.

They will work in 1080p30 mode just like the crop sensor modes in the GH2.

If such a thing is made, I would hope Pentax would include in the adapter the necessary circuitry and electronically controlled stop down lever to use Pentax A, F, FA and DA lenses with full aperture control. I'm sure screw driven AF wouldn't work unless they were somehow able to include a small screw drive motor in the housing of the adapter. SDM might be a possibility though. I'm sure there would be enough room in the adapter for the necessary circuitry (and possibly batteries) considering the registration distance of the Pentax Q lens system is probably much less then that of Pentax K. Does anyone know what the registration distance will be? I didn't see it in the specs.

I read the registration distance is somewhere in the neighbourhood of 9mm.

Isn't the lens-shutter that Q is using a problem for this to work? E.g., it only has an electronic shutter in the body?

Only 2 of the 5 Q lenses have a built-in shutter (the toy/fisheye do not). The problem with a K-mount adapter, apart from the fact that the crop factor is over 5.5, is that K lenses would simply be too heavy

You'd break the mount off a few times and learn to hold the whole setup by the lens, not by the camera body.

Found this today, It may be an early prototype, but there doesn't appear to be any connectors for electronics present.

I still don't understand why this keeps coming up. What is interesting about K mount with a 5.5 crop factor? Is there really that much demand for a bunch of telephotos? Even the DA15 is a telephoto.

George Mallory, one of the first to try to climb Mount Everest, when asked by a reporter "why do you want to climb Mount Everest?" he replied "Because it's there". The same logic applies to mounting K lenses on a Q body.
