KatzEye Screens

Hello, has anyone used a KatzEye screen with the OptiBrite option and have you used the std version?

Is the OptiBrite option worthwhile?

Best regards

I dont know what it looks like withOUT the optibrite, but it looks awesome with it. This is a great little addition. I just got mine over the weekend, and love it. Its hard to understand what it does until you really use it. But they work great.

For all the extra it costs and I always want the best for myself.

Just go for it.

I went for the Optibrite with my K-x before. I saw a difference in exposure between live view and looking through the viewfinder, but a slight ev compensation wasn't too difficult. The katzeye did make it alot easier to use manual focus in darker situations than the stock screen so a big + for that!

Sure think it is.Only screens I can compare to are original OEM in K20(replaced with)
Old screens in ME super(s),P3n,P5,ZX-L(s),ZX-M,couple different ones for both
viewfinders of LX ,a Beattie intenscreen in a TLR,and stock screen in a
canon body I have.Matte portion of katzeye where opti-bright treatment is applied is brighter.
Best example would be in shadows.Do lose consistent spot metering, thats result of split-prism and
not associated with treatment. Easy work-around and a fair trade for me.
