[langtitle=sv]Classy K5 Bag[/langtitle]

Hi!

Im in the hunt for a classy well made and good looking camera bag.
Its harder to find than it sounds...

I got a K5, 18-55 lens and a 50mm M lens and thinking of expanding with a flash and one more lens.

But the thing is I need a bag...

Found the contenders but is there some more bags that may interest me?

Im after a shoulder bag with some room for a camera, 1-2lenses and some more stuff. It should be easy to carry around, because Im going to Thailand next year and want to bring the camera

Looks at these three and you will see what Im after:

Union Street Camera and Laptop Canvas Messenger Bag |Gadgetsin

Road Test | Domke F-5XB Camera Bag – Carryology

Incase | Ari Marcopoulos

Thanks in advance!!!

Think Tank makes some incredible stuff. I have tested nearly all their bags and love them all. Here are a few you may be interested in.

I have the domke bag and love it. The only complaint I have is the wax will get on your hands and feel greasy. Don't get the rugged version, stick with the black or olive green colors.

I also have the Domke F-5XB. It's a small bag. I use it for my K-7 and a few DA Ltd lenses, plus a few accessories (microfiber cloth, extra battery, SD cards). You should be able to fix a prime lens and the camera w/ 18-55mm on its side, but I don't think there will be much room for another lens and especially not for a flash. I have the olive version and it doesn't feel waxy or greasy.

I use other bags if I want to carry more lenses and/or my flash (Tamrac Aerospeed backpack, and a Tamrac Explorer 200 shoulder bag).

This is mine, a billingham hadley pro, with shoulderstrap. Very nice bag, pricey. I bought it because I was after a bag that didn't scream "camera gear". Carries camera, lenses and a few other bits and pieces. The quick release straps are handy (those studs at the front, means you don't have to undo the fasteners).

Get yourself a regular messenger bag (non-photo) that you love, and purchase an insert to go in it. You'll be happy that way.

I usually hit the streets with a tamrac velocity 8. I can fit my K5 w/grip, sigma 70-200 f/2.8, 24-70 f/2.8, and a Pentax 12-24 f/4, 2 filters, batteries and a pair of shades in there. Its pretty good size for as slim as it is. My only complaint is that you cant switch which side the strap is on.

When I travel I want something as un-classic, un-camera like and un-elegant as possible.
Something that is un-attractive those un-law abiding thieves.
This style is truly a classic design having been used virtually un-changed for almost 100 years.
I call it my un bag.

Got the Think Tank Retrospective 20, it's a great bag for the money.
The bag is different from other bags because it's floppy (if that's the word for it).
Most other bags are quite rigged but Retrospective isn't, it wraps itself around your gear so that it doesn't move around too much.
This also mean the bag is quite small if you don't fill it fully.

When going to a concert i just take the K5 + DA*16-50 + DA*50-135 with me.
But if i've too it also takes the AF540FGZ + colour gel filters + Olympus LS-5 + Rode NTG-2 + all the cords of the sound equipment + 3 pol filters + set GND filters and if i push a bit it should take the DFA100 as well.
Enough for a day shooting ^^

The bag isn't that classy though but the build quality is certainly good and there are no external marks/brands on it, which i like.

It might not scream that but it does catch your eye though and the bag looks expensive as well.
The quality of these bags are surely astounding.

I ordered one from here-

Porteen Gear For the Professional Photographer by PorteenGear

last year. Really like it. Note quite the heavy padding of my Kata bag, but much less conspicuous.
