Lowepro padded inserts??

One of the inserts that came with my lowepro backpack is a tri-fold piece with thick foam on the two outer sections and a relatively thin center section and some of the loop fabric of the hook & loop velcro sewed onto it. I can't really find a good use for it and I know it doesn't need to be used but I was just curious if there is a specific application it was made for?

Which bag? Lowepro has interior photos of most of their bags on their website; one of the photos of your bag may show the piece in use. My backpack (Micro Trekker 200) doesn't appear to have a section like the one you are describing.

this is the bag but it doesnt show it. Maybe I will check the other bags too, I just wondered what it was meant for?

If you check out the product video on the Lowepro website, it shows a shot of the insert in use. The insert is used to support the front of the camera when using a smaller lens when placed in the center section of the backpack.
