Storage of extra tray for D-BG4

I'm wondering how others store the 2nd tray for their BG-4 grip for their K5/7? I've found a Pelican case, 1030, that fits it widthwise very well but is too long and deep and takes a lot of space. I'm concerned with storing it in the camera bag by itself may result in it being broken.

It's in the box, on the shelf, hidden somewhere

I leave mine at the computer desk. With 2 batteries on-board, power has not been a problem so far.

Put me down for in a box on the shelf unless I'm traveling then it goes in the bag as a back up.

In the box at the moment. I carry two sets of batteries (4 x D-Li90's) so I don't need to resort to AA's as backup. Although I do carry 12 x rechargeable Ni-Mh (3 sets), but these are structly for my flash.

Keep mine in a plastic lunch bag loaded with Enloops, I have used it once and only for the novelty . Easier to carry an extra D-Lion.

Back in the box; never done anything with the AA trays of my battery grips besides having a look at them, and then putting them back in the box.

2x D-LI90 (body + grip) have been enough to last me for most things I shoot. Otherwise, shooting with 2x K-5 (4x D-LI90) and with another D-LI90 somewhere in my bag tends to cover my bases.

I keep mine in a mobile phone pouch in the top compartment of my Lowepro Pro75AW, with batteries, I often pop it in if wanting to charge batteries on trips ect and still take pics.
