New Gitzo GT5562GTS Review

Have posted this in the reviews database but thought I would add it here as well in case anyone had any questions.

Have just replaced a Gitzo GT5541LS with the new 'Giant' and the full review with 20+ images can be found on my website here.

Please feel free to share and if there is something you need to know that I haven't covered, please ask away!

Very interesting review.

I've used a standard tripod for a number of years but I've never really noticed any that tall before. Quite impressive. Seem like a stepstool would almost need to be standard equipment.

Thanks for the feed back on the review guys, appreciated!

Think you're right there Michael, will probably invest in a small set of step ladders that I can leave in the car, just in case!

That is a bloody big tripod.

I have a GT3541LS and I rarely extend all the sections on that thing (and I'm 6'), so did you specifically get this for the extra stability from the weight and tube size (not necc. the full height)?

Sorry if you explained this in your review, but I just looked at the pretty pictures...

Nice review unlocker. I never would have thought of using a camera pointed nearly straight up, but don't do birding.
The new min height and feet make me wonder if I could upgrade my 3541LS...it's nearly 1lb heavier though and it's heavy enough :-)
