Love the S-Biner

A couple of uses for the "S-Biner". I have a bunch of these things that I get at a local hardware store. The large one is a stainless #4 (holds up to 75 lbs.) and the green are (plastic) #2 size. I use the green ones for attaching my car keys mostly but they make the bag loops much more accessible in a hurry. Once installed they're not going to come off accidentally. Plenty of colors and sizes to match bag colors too. The #4 stainless S-Biner is great for making my camera bag a tripod weight.

Very nice! So, do you get these at Park Rose Hardware or some other store?

Steve, ya' Park Rose Hardware on 164th is where I go, but I've seen them elsewhere.

I always have a full size mountaineers carabiner attached to my camera bag, they are usually big enough to attach to something solid when on a boat or some other place a bag could drop, and to a chair or table in a restaurant for a bit of security. Very useful, a small one would be handy as well.

As an avid rock climber (who has bags of 'biners) I approve. I've also never thought of keeping one on my camera bag... which is weird, since they usually hang off my harness and are used for nearly everything.

I bought a few as well - not only is it good for hanging stuff, if I am in a crowded area, I'll hook my strap to it while it is attached to my bag.

The local Target has a large selection of sizes.

I use them to quickly remove my strap.
