Panoramic head with great customer service behind it

About a month ago I got involved with a company that does those 360 degree tours for Realtors.

This company has an occasional (at present) need for photographers and I decided it would be fun to get involved.

I needed a panoramic head for my tripod and the master photographer for the company (also the co-owner, one and the same) recommended a simple, low-cost unit called the Panosaurus.

The Panosaurus Panoramic Tripod Head Home Page

Several weeks later, I was loading my car after my first solo shoot and of course the tripod and panosaurus fell against the road curb (camera had already been removed).

Neither was damaged except for a plastic adjustment knob on the panosaurus, it shattered completely on impact.

Quick email to Greg who designed and sells the Panosaurus, requesting a quote for a replacement knob since it WAS my fault it broke.

Back comes the reply email basically saying I'll send you a replacement, no charge.

A week later, the replacement knob arrives and no charge whatsoever.

So, thought I'd pass it along. Some people DO care and deserve success.

If you need a low-cost, simply designed and simple to use panoramic head for $99 (+ shipping), this one works and is well supported. It isn't high tech but it's solid.

Thanks. I like it for it's simplicity and low cost.

Although I use high tech cameras, it's nice to use low tech stuff sometimes.

It will NEVER need a firmware upgrade to continue working and it looks like if something broke and the guy who designed it DID stop supporting it, it would be simple to fix it yourself.
