attach tripod to a backpack


And i have a gitzo GT 2541, I have been thinking with all those molle. Is there anyway I can make use of the molle straps

I have tried similar. It works (barely) with a 'pod that is too small for my K20D plus almost any lens, and is VERY clumsy with an adequately large 'pod. Still, discomfort is better than leaving the 'pod behind. Rather than diddling with a camera pack, I'll use a large backpack with side straps meant for holding tent poles. The larger 'pod is a better fit there.

You could also try to attach something like this onto your bag (whatever the brand). I have two of the hard-sided versions for my backpacks. Yes, it makes them a bit clumsy when not on your back, but certainly is a great thing when you get somewhere interesting without carrying the tripod in your hands the whole time...

You can probably use the straps on the sides to secure a tripod.

that's what I am thinking about. I am going to some airsoft place to see if they have something similar

Probably a 30-rd. clip pouch would do the trick.

You could get a water bottle holder for a 32oz nalgene bottle that would probably work. A lot of them have a belt loop holder or strap for it that you could attach to the molle.
