Small size video mic for DSLR?

Hi all,

I have been using Rode VideoMic for sound recording and I realize it is very good (Though I still have much to learn on audio editing) compare to using the on board mic.
The only problem with it is it is too big for travel.

I would like to get a smaller mic that I can bring along for travel. Would like to hear your suggestion and your experiences.
Or would you recommend a dedicated sound recorder for travel?
Thanks in advance!

Lee

I believe this is a smaller mike.

Amazon.com: Azden High-performance (SMX-10) Stereo Condenser Microphone: Musical Instruments

I've been using this on my K5 quite effectively. I works well and only uses one AA cell. Check it out.
