Replacement for PH-S52 hood

Since the original hood is extremely hard to find and there seems no substitute made by other brand like the PH-S49, does anyone have experience on getting a nice hood for K24/2.8?

For Pentax DLSRs (all with APS-C sensor), a 52-30.5 stepdown ring may work. I know a 49-28 stepdown ring works with F-28mm lens (the lens attached to the body in photo below). If 52-30.5 ring doesn't exist (I haven't been able to locate a 49-30.5), use a 52-37 followed by a 37-30.5:

What am I looking at there? Lenses put end to end? Huh?

That will work. I use a 62-49 and then PH-S49 for my 135mm.
