Memory card confusion

esterday after having a lively discussion regarding SD memory I decided to do some research. I came to one conclusion is that companies inadvertently confuse customers. A prime example is Sandisk, their Extreme 3 4 gb cards have at least 3 different labels for the exact same spec card. All say Extreme 3 and all are SDHC class 6 but some labels look different. I don't know about you, but this is confusing.

A big difference as Pepsi is either diet or not etc. Look at the first photo, it doesn't even mention the Class of the card while the other two do. The only way you can find out is check the specs on different web pages. Sandisk's own page only shows the original black version on their page. The white and blue versions aren't even listed.

True if you buy in a store, but I buy online! So there is no package to look at.

2 and 3 look the same to me. Only lighting is different so you can see the holographic effect.

Yes possibly, but the red X looks longer on the middle one. Any way after contacting B & H I ordered one with a $30.00 rebate. It says it writes at 20mbs and reads 20mbs. So I felt with a listed price of $49.95-&30.00 rebate a cost of $25.00 with shipping after rebate was a good deal.

Since I wasn't sure which was which I ordered from B & H, who I know is good, and they had a $30.00 rebate.

Maybe they've upgraded the livery. (products subject to change without notice)
Their current design looks exactly like cards #2 & 3.

Were they purchased at the same place at the same time? You are aware (I hope) there are counterfeit cards floating around?

After going to the official Sandisk site and looked at the photos, I assume the blue one is fake as there is no picture of that one.
