a couple of specific AF-540 questions

I just got a Sigma EF-530 DG Super and am experiencing a bit of buyer's remorse, and I'm wondering if I'd be happier with the "real thing" Pentax AF-540. So, two questions:

As I discovered in another thread (thanks roy!), the EF-5x0 Super flashes can't do high speed sync with Auto ISO enabled. This isn't crippling because I'm basically going to use the USER mode to be my special-with-flash settings and I can make the controls be Tv/ISO. But does it work with the Pentax flash?

The other question is mechanical. I'm a little concerned about the solidity of the tilt head, and am afraid that after a time it will start to "slump". There's click positions at 70° or so and up, but nothing at 30° or 45°, which would be useful — not that I need the precise numbers, but if I do put it there, I'd like it to stay. How's the AF-540 on this front?

Thanks!
