Remote Shutter Release - long exposers

Hello All,

Anyone know about a good budget friendly wired remote shutter release for taking long exposers with the K30?

Thank you.

Make your own. I have one made from a Nokia head set (2.5mm jack plug and lead, a pill tube two push buttons (focus and shutter) and a switch (long exposure shutter). A fraction of the cost. Google the connections.

Will you be going beyond 30 seconds? If you want to use bulb mode you might want one that has a built in timer like THIS ONE. That is what I have and it works great.

If you just want a simple one there are plenty of cheap ones out there, the ones that fit the cheaper Canon bodies also fit Pentax. It is really hard to justify making one yourself if the already made one is under $10.

That looks awesome, but the K-5 isn't listed... do they make one for it?

All Pentax DSLR bodies that can use a wired remote have the same connector. I bought it when I had a K100D, but it works exactly the same on the K-5.

OK, cool... I thought so, but they had a long list of cameras and no K-7 or K-5, so I wanted to make sure.

Thank you. I don't think I want to make my own. So, one that will fit a T4i will work with the K30?
