Basically the flash works fine on the camera
it's just when i try to do wireless shooting that it doesn't have any of it
i've followed the manaual (i think) but it still doesn't work lol

What camera are you using? I have that flash and a k100d, it triggers by using the pop up flash with no problems. But I did have to play around with it a little at first to figure it out. Pop up the camera flash, set the flash unit to the slave setting ( I believe it will say CO SL, or something like that) and fire away.

Thank you so much fritz! I thought that only the k10 could use off camera flash. In the manual under "Using the signal of a built in flash as a trigger" it said (except k100d) so I didnt think it would work with my K100D. This is going to be so much fun.

I have no means of comparison but it works reasonably well and i havent had any significant problems with it. The plastic was a little cheaper feeling than I expected but in the long run, probably not that big a deal. Also I noticed that as battery life got lower, it began to underexpose a bit and take longer to recharge. A fresh set fixed all that. Battery life is decent. I used 1 set of regular energizer AAs and they lasted me a whole wedding with moderate use from morning to reception (except during the ceremony), and then some. Not bad.

I've been happy with it, and it offers me the additional flexibility that I was looking for in a flash at a reasonable price. But I don't have much to compare it with. My other flash units consist of a very old Pentax AF16, a Sunpack 144d, and an old Focal w/bounce and zoom head. I've noticed a lot of comments from others about the "plastic" feeling of the Sigma. But I'll tell you it feels like one top notch unit compared to my Focal flash.

kthung, glad I could help out. And you are right, off camera flash it fun! The k100d does not support "wireless" like the k10 does, but the pop up works just fine as well.

Fritz, I was wondering if you could tell me how the pop up flash triggers the sigma off camera. Would I be able to cover up the onboard flash so it looks like there is only one light source off camera? Im not really sure. Sometimes it works when I cover up the onboard flash and sometimes it doesnt.

Thanks again

I believe the Sigma flash relies on "seeing" the actual flash from the camera to trigger it. So if you do to good of a job covering up the camera flash, I suspect the Sigma would not trigger. If I don't want the camera flash showing up in the shot, I'll dial back the power of the pop up flash to it's lowest setting. Or I'll use one of my other bounce flashes attached to the camera and try to direct the light in a way that it will minimize the light on my subject, but still trigger the off camera flash.
