Hoya HMC super UV (o) possible problem?

Hello if anyone can help with this it would be much appreciated!

I have just bought a new Hoya HMC Super 62mm UV (O) filter. I have noticed a rattle from the filter as though the glass is slightly loose from the frame. The filter also appears not to have a retaining ring / c-ring to secure the glass, as my normal or HMC only Hoya filters do. Is this normal in the Hoya HMC Super, in particular, or a new feature in their newest filters? (I understand one other manufacturer, at least, opt to use a 'loose glass plate' as this is thought to cause less stress on the element and frame in various temperate conditions) ...or is my filter simply faulty?!?

Sounds to me like you have a defective product and should be requesting a replacement.

Sounds like the glass wasn't ground properly, and is moving around in the frame a bit. Get a replacement.
