Best lens caps and filters?

Hi, I lost both of my snap-on Pentax lens caps that came with my two lenses... what are the best kind to buy and where?
Also I want to further protect my lenses with filters... I already have a UV one for my telephoto (it came with it), but what would be best for my kit lens (18-55mm)?

Lens caps can be very inexpensive. You need to know the diameter in mm of the threads on the front of the lens. For the 18-55 it is 52mm. You can generic caps through eBay for a couple dollars. I try to have one extra on hand for many of my size lenses.

The best values for lens caps I find are from Deal Extreme.

Deal Extreme carries different styles. The best style is like this one. Note the sides of the center pinch are straight, not curved.

To make it easier to remove/attach the cap even with the lens hood on, I attach two small strips of self-adhesive sandpaper to the center pinch:

Ahh, the things we keep quiet about, eh?

I'll confess to having added something known as "rubber cement" to the inner tabs to get a better grip. 's OK, it rubs off if you should want to sell a cap, but it can be reapplied too.
