What do you plan to buy (photography related) in 2013?

Its mid Feb 2013, and as a way to control your LBA, is good to have a plan. and try not to deviate from the plan too much.

So, what do you plan to buy this year? For myself, I want to limit myself to not buy any new Pentax DSLR this year unless it is a FF.
I planned the following items for my 2013 wishlist.

If no Pentax FF,
1. The new ltd zoom lens from Pentax;
2. The new DA* zoom, if the f-stop is at least f2.8;
3. A carbon fiber tripod with removable center column;
4. A vacation where I can go shooting in some nice locations.

If there is a Pentax FF, this is the one thing (+ the FF kit lens) I would like to get.

Lee

Since I use my full frame Sony NEX-VG900 with my Pentax lenses I purchased lenses that they don't cover like the 24mm F1.4, 35mm F1.4 and 16-50mm power zoom with OSS.

That's probably all the domestic CFO will allow - unless y'all has a dying rich uncle willing to add me to his will....

I hope to buy a 43mm Limited and either the D FA 100mm f/2.8 Macro or FA 135 f/2.8. I am considering a 31mm Limited as well, but it is pretty far out of my comfort price range at the moment.

Buy tickets to travel for shoots. Haha. I have a few talented and interesting friends around the US, I have the gear, I just need to get the money for flight + lodging and carefully manage my vacation time.

Just a few items...
  • Some additional rear lens caps - a couple of spares
  • An additional battery for the Q
  • A wrist strap for the Q
  • A K to Q lens adapter
  • A mini little tripod for the Q
  • And perhaps the fisheye for the Q if I can find a good price.
  • Maybe a O-GPS

I already purchased it - a like-new, but used Hyperdrive Album with 250GB drive.

I can preview either jpeg or RAW images from my camera's SD card - and/or transfer all the images from the card to the drive - - - all without needing some kind of computer. When I need to travel light, I can take a stripped down photo kit, the Hyperdrive, and my Nexus 7 tablet.

I am really looking forward to the 10mm f2.8 lens that Samyang is supposed to release in the fall. There's no other lens like it for the Pentax mount and it would be great for taking shots of the night sky. I don't know what the price will be but I'm planning to sell my 14mm f2.8 lens to pay for it.
