power cord ?

I'll be leaving for vacation soon and will be taking both my K7 and WG-2. In an attempt to save space in my camera bag, I was wondering if I can share the same power cord for each cameras Pentax battery chargers ? The plugs on the ends of both power cords are identical and fit into each other. My guess is that it should be fine but I value the opinions I get here on PF.

Thanks for the help.

As long as they fit and are just plain cables (no power adapter box) it's perfectly fine. As the K-7 charger uses a standard (hurray!) cable you can use any standard caple for it.

That is part of why I got 2nd party chargers for all my Pentax batteries - the current Pentax chargers are unnecessarily bulky with the cord and other design issues. Some aftermarket models costing $5-8 have folding prongs built into the unit and are smaller than the base unit that comes form Pentax too.

You should buy a few of this. I use it for all of my chargers (Pentax, Canon, Ricoh, Sony).

Ugly But I just close my eyes.....

What a great solution, I'll keep my eye out for a European version of this, problem solved very neatly.

Yes I guess, for UK I'd also need three square pins, in a triangle, top pin larger and longer being earth.

Thanks everyone for your help. Leaving in just a few days so I'll just take a single cord for now.

SOldBear, you never cease to amaze me with your findings and home-made solutions. As soon as I get back home I'll be ordering a couple of those plugs.

Appreciate all the suggestions
