Where to buy D-BH109 AA battery holder

Are there any stores where I can buy the D-BH109 AA battery holder? I'd like to buy it in store and I have already checked Best Buy and Radio Shack with no luck.

Unless you have a photo store that carries the full Pentax lineup in your area, then your best bet would be to get one from B&H or Adorama.

It seems that the cheap Hong Kong and China types are all plastic. The genuine Pentax part has a metal top-plate.

It is absolutely ridiculous to pay 30$ for this little piece of plastic.
I got mine from dealextreme for a few dollars. No regrets.

Is plastic not capable of holding 4 AA in place? C'mon...

I only wanted to point out the difference between the two types and why they are priced differently.
That said, many threads on PantaxForums prove that imitation parts are often causing problems. So, go ahead and buy the cheap parts, but don't complain when something goes wrong.

I agree.
But there is just simply nothing to go wrong with this thing It is just a plastic frame with a few metal pins.

There are no complaints about the AA holder that I am aware of an lots of satisfied customers. As for complaining, if no one could complain when something went wrong around here posts would plummet to near zero most days.

I just bought one from Amazon too. I did not want to spend much on it, as it is just going to be used as a sort of emergency back up. I will let you know if I have any problems with it.

I have 3 of the really cheap type. All work perfectly. Two are loaded with eneloops. The third was turned into an AC supply: https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/do-yourself/217023-build-ac-adapter-pentax-k-r-k-30-a.html

I purchased all three for my K-r and they are now in regular use in my k-30. The LiOn battery sits on the shelf.
