While waiting for the K20 to arrive, I've been touring the local shops in search of memory card.
SDHC cards are almost completely "order on request" over here, but I found 2 Gb Transcend SD 150x card - very good price. Is it posible to use SD in K20D or it has to be SDHC? Also, this card is said (by manufacturer) to have transfer rate of up to 24 Mb/s - that seems on par with SDHC cards. Would it be OK to buy this as an intermediate solution while I gather some money for bigger card?

K20D is backward compatible and it can take the Transcend card you mentioned. Transfer rate of 24Mb/s refers to reading but still these cards are as god as SDHC class 6.
One thing about Transcend 2GB 150x is that it uses SLC (single level cell) structure witch is more reliable.

As Matjazz says, and to let you know that I have at least 8 of the 150X 4GB cards and they have never let me down. I find them as reliable as Sandisk and generally considerably less at the checkout counter. Write speeds are excellent.
