Got me a Strobist-style setup!

So, today I splurged for my birthday and bought a light stand, umbrella, 15' sync cord, Nikon AS-15 hot shoe to pc-sync adapter, and umbrella clamp to get a Strobist-style setup going. Havn't had much time to play with it all yet, but finally being able to mess around with the output of my AF360 manually (as opposed to P-TTL making all my attempts at stylistic lighting impossible) has been a real treat. Now I just need some subjects...

you know you can set the AF360 in manual mode, wirelessly, right? no need for the cables and stuff..

Really? I think I'm about to feel really, really stupid...

Even so, It's kinda cool having all those cables running everywhere, and when I get an older, more powerful flash I'll have the stuff I need. A learning experience, no doubt.

I would think the cables would be more reliable. I like the wireless idea, but I find my K10D's focus assist (pulsating flash) sets off my detached Sigma 500.

Your cords will most likely not go to waste - they will come in handy.
Do share with us your results - I have a similar setup, but just need the time to use it!
